CRITICAL ANALYSIS: THE BOY NAMED CROW

     THE BOY NAMED CROW
by: Haruki Murakami

Haruki Murakami is a Japanese writer. His books is the saleable in their country even international. One of his famous novel in 2002 titled The Boy Named Crow. This books receive a lot of excellent review from iDreamBooks. Murakami said that understanding the novels depend in how many times you read it. The story talks about facing consequences in able to survive in life conditions. It’s all about a boy plan escape a reality where can make over the situation but can revise a choice.

This story is all about a boy named Kafka Tamura who planned to run away and escape the unlovely situation.  Before he run away, he should be the toughest fifteen-year-old boy, in order to survive consequences for his escaping plan. He took all the money he had which can help him to make it through. But if his money dropped he will have a hard time to think or find what is the possible solution because his still young. Kafka knew that he just like facing a storm if he run away and that can made him think that running away will never be a solution of a problem. Problem should be solved but not be escaped. After all, Kafka walk away and see himself living the library.

I think the purpose of this story is to entertain and inform readers so that they’ll think wisely if ever they came up with the same situation that Kafka faced. And also for them to choose the best choice or solution regarding with a certain matter. In reading this, it affects my emotion and I felt proud because at the age of fifteen I survived life conditions. Just like Kafka, he faced the consequence and erase all the negative thoughts in his mind. I felt proud because I also did the same thing before. The effectiveness of this story has a lot of realization for me especially as a student. Because its really happened when someone is tired of being a student or a child, all we need is take a breath, run away and rest. But this made me realized that in order to survive you have to be a stronger as you are. And I think I’m strong enough to face consequences and consider myself as a toughest teen year old.
